Nov 2004 - Lux Arcana founded in Everquest II
Lux Arcana was founded by Belteyn Mithra in November 2004 on the Runnyeye server in Everquest II, although it had existed briefly on the Firiona Vei server in original Everquest. A few months later the guild moved to the European Splitpaw server.

In January 2006 Belteyn realised that his heart was no longer in Everquest II. It had promised so much as the successor to Everquest, but for him it never really delivered. It was a tough decision, but he decided to step down and hand over the leadership of the guild. Belteyn remained the website administrator over the years supporting several leadership changes, although by 2007 there were just a few players remaining.
