Minecraft for Beginners

Hi all

Been a very long time I know but my daughter has shown an interest in minecraft. She's only 7 so is unlikely to be a long-term interest (just like me) but what is the best/cheapest way to get it up and running?

We had a free weekend on the Xbone and seen the 'favourites pack' for that is £17 (game + about 7 packs) but anything cheaper on PC? I've put the Windows 10 trial on which has 90 hours so is that the best route for now?

Not even sure if anyone else plays it still but would appreciate any advice ... hoping to multiplayer it with her on 2 seperate laptops if she likes it.

Buttercup: We'll never survive.
Westley: Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has
